I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Sabine and the role she played in my birth experience. From the very beginning, she made me feel supported, informed, confident, and completely capable of having the birth I hoped for.

I went into labor hoping for an unmedicated birth, and Sabine was such an integral part of making that experience possible. Her presence was incredibly grounding—she knew exactly when to offer encouragement, when to suggest a new position or coping technique, and when to simply be a calm, reassuring presence in the room. Even in the most intense moments, she continually reminded me of my strength and helped me trust my body and the process.

What I appreciated most was that her support never felt overpowering or like she was taking over my birth. Instead, she created space for me to feel empowered in my own decisions while also supporting my husband and helping him know how to best support me. She brought such a beautiful sense of calm and confidence into the room.

My birth ended up being everything I had hoped for—unmedicated, peaceful, powerful, and deeply grounding—and I will always associate Sabine with such a positive and transformative experience. I came away from my birth feeling incredibly proud of myself and in awe of what my body was capable of, and I truly believe having Sabine there helped me feel safe enough to surrender to the experience and trust myself.

If you are considering hiring a doula, I could not recommend Sabine more highly. Every woman deserves to feel supported, respected, encouraged, and empowered during birth, and that is exactly how Sabine made me feel. I am so happy that we decided to work with Sabine as our birth doula. This was my first pregnancy and she was incredibly supportive. I had an incredible labor experience and truly think it is because I had her to rely on the entire time. She has also been immensely supportive post partum if I have had any other questions come up. I hired Sabine as my doula for my first pregnancy and it was the best decision I ever made.  She met with me several times throughout my pregnancy to guide me on body alignment and movements to help me prepare for labor.  Her status as a yoga instructor really comes in handy here.  She made my partner and I feel so supported and prepared for our birth.  As often happens, my delivery did not go according to plan.  Sabine stayed with me every step of the way, honoring my choices and making me feel as empowered as possible to navigate difficult decisions related to my care.  She was an integral part to my delivery and I will forever be grateful to her for all of her support. I can’t recommend Sabine enough! We used her for both of our kids’ births and her support was invaluable. She was an absolute game changer for the whole process from laboring at home through our time at Charleston Birth Place. She knew exactly what I needed when I needed it. She provided the perfect level of comfort and coaching throughout both a long labor and a much shorter labor. She has the perfect demeanor for a doula and makes the laboring process much calmer. We were so lucky to have Sabine as our doula. After being diagnosed with gestational diabetes and needing to be induced, I was worried that everything in my birth plan would go out the window. Sabine reassured me that an induction didn’t automatically mean an epidural, and her guidance gave me the confidence to advocate for myself throughout a long labor at MUSC.

Ultimately, I was able to have the birth I had hoped for without an epidural, and Sabine was literally there holding my leg up while I did it! She helped me through those final, challenging moments of labor and captured photos that I will cherish forever.

We cannot say enough amazing things about Sabine! From the very beginning, she went above and beyond to make both my husband and me feel as prepared as possible for labor and delivery. She was always so prompt in responding to any questions or concerns, and she was incredibly personable, supportive, and reassuring throughout the entire experience.

Once we were at the hospital, it was so clear how well respected Sabine is. She already knew so many of the nurses, and every single one had nothing but wonderful things to say about their experiences working with her. That alone gave us so much confidence that we were in the best hands.

Sabine was there with us throughout labor, helping create the most peaceful and calming environment possible. She set up candles, music, and all the little details that made the space feel comfortable and relaxing. She was also such an incredible support for my husband. Since this was our first baby, neither of us really knew what to expect, and she helped him feel involved throughout the entire process.

Having Sabine by our side was truly the best addition we could have asked for during such a life-changing experience. I would recommend her to absolutely anyone. As a first time mom, you have so many questions running through your head. It can be so difficult to sort through all of the advice that you’re given, which is why I knew I needed someone that could help me. Sabine did exactly that and so much more. She was there for me throughout my entire pregnancy, giving me tips and advice and truly just a lot of comfort. I learned so much from her and she was just so kind, incredible, and knowledgeable.

Not only did she prepare me for birth, but having her there during labor was by far the best decision I made throughout my entire pregnancy. She truly helped me and encouraged me so that I could have the birth I wanted. My husband and I have said a million times that Sabine was the best choice we could’ve made to help with the birth of our daughter. There are so many expenses that come with having a baby but the best investment we made was hiring a doula. We had the most amazing experience with Sabine, and I can’t imagine going through labor without her. She made me feel safe, calm, and confident.
