A little about me...

My journey to this work began in 2019, long after I had birthed my own children and was getting ready to welcome my first grand baby into the world. I learned about the doula profession, was seeking out everything there was to learn about birth. It didn’t take long at all to enroll in doula training courses and starting my part-time doula business. During the COVID lock down I was able to work as a midwife assistant in Homebirth setting. It was here where I was drawn to the tenderness of birth. The raw emotion, the love, the looking inward. I am drawn to the hard parts, the beautiful parts, the surprising parts…the times of needing deep, intuitive care. I attended more and more hospital and birthing center births and recognized the difference in support needed which each one of them. I left my corporate job in 2023 to fully dedicate my time and passion in the birthing community. I attended over 70 birth and learned something from each one of my beautiful mommas who invited me into their birthing world.

I believe people should be aware of their options when navigating birth, and it is my desire and passion to educate mommas so they can make the decisions that are best for them, their bodies and babies. Better birth education improves outcomes for birthing mommas, their partners, and the babies born into this world. I want all my moms to feel educated and empowered to make these decisions.

I am warm, intuitive, and a natural caregiver. Being a nurturer through-and-through and developing authentic connections.

I live with my husband in James Island. My children and grandchildren all live in James and Johns Island. We are happy to have made Charleston, SC our home in 2013 and enjoy all it has to offer. We enjoy traveling and exploring the different places in the world but are always drawn back to the “Old Continent” and spend time with friends and family in Germany and other parts of Europe. When we’re not traveling we love to spend time with our family in town. We lead an active lifestyle and you can find us in and out of the water on all beaches in town. The great outdoors is limitless to us and we spend a great deal outside participating in various activities.
